What's in store, 4 looks for June 2023

I have alway LOVED fashion even as a teenager. When I couldn't afford a Ramones T-shirt for their concert at Festival Hall (because I was in High School at the time) my friend and I made our own out of a black t-shirt, a stencil and liquid paper (anyone remember this trusty goopy friend?). I also couldn't afford Dr Martins so I went to an army disposals and bought some really cool (well I thought they were) army green lace ups. I got some interesting comments from those army boots... good and bad. Haha. Why am I sharing this with you? My goal with this post is to share with you what is in store right now, you don't have to go and buy these particular outfits but use them as inspiration if you need to find something similar. But saying that, if they are within your budget then this might help you choose some amazing outfits for your photo shoot, or inspire you, either way I hope it helps. Here is what I found in June 2023 from Country Road and Zara and why I love them.B

ONE Flowing Velvet Suit in Ink Blue
Zara

Where to buy: Zara

Why I love this outfit: Oh my goodness the colour is divine! If you want something a little darker but not black this is the colour for you. Velvet photographs amazingly well as it reflects light beautifully. Velvet also sits beautifully like you are wearing drapes (yes please). The whole look is very on trend and contemporary.

Who would suit (pardon the pun) this?: Honestly any professional could do this look. It's more on the contemporary side but many corporates are going for this look at the moment. Less stuffy and more personality. Perfect for Headshots or Personal Branding Photos You can make it more or less corporate by the shoes and accessories you choose. Put a stunning floral/patterned top under the jacket for more relaxed look. Have fun with this suit, I literally want it now.

TWO Linen Blend Waistcoat & Shorts In Purple Zara

Where to buy: Zara

Why I love this outfit: This outfit is FUN and colourful and still professional with the buttons and pleats in the shorts. Pop on some heels and maybe a blouse under the button-up and you are good to go. Seriously how cute is it.

Who would suit this?: I feel like this outfit would be perfect for a personal brand photoshoot where it is part of a collection of outfits you would wear to show off all facets of your business personality. This would be the fun one of course :)

THREE
Embellished Tuxedo Blazer In Black

Country Road

Where to buy: Country Road

Why I love this outfit: Usually I would say "please avoid black" (insert praying hands) and that is because honestly it's boring and not really flattering. BUT.... if you just have to go black make it interesting like this blazer. The embellishment really does add a certain pizzaz and breaks up the black beautifully. I honestly want this jacket it's amazing and probably a piece you would have in your wardrobe for years to come.

Who would suit this?: This blazer with matching black pants and shiny black stilettos would be fabulous for either headshots or a personal brand photoshoot depending on what vibe you want to put across to your customers. This is everything professional, sexy and fun.

FOUR Man-Style Blazer Suit In Cerulean Blue

Country Road

Where to buy: Country Road

Why I love this outfit: This suit ticks all the boxes for me, it's colourful (shows personality), it's on trend (shows you have good taste), it's not black, it's high waisted and gorgeous. You could definitely take this from the photoshoot straight to work and be very comfortable in it.

Who would suit this?: I feel like this outfit would be perfect for a personal brand photoshoot or headshot session. Either way you will look super professional but in no way boring.

In Summary

Have some fun with your outfit choices and show some personality. Our profile photos are so important, we have milliseconds to make an impression, so make it a good one!

(Side Note: You will have these portraits for a long time. I suggest wearing something you feel amazing in so that you'll feel great and be proud to share them online)
